Diana Robinson

Diana was raised in Bingham County, graduated from Firth High School and attended Ricks College. She has always loved animals.  She worked as a Veterinary Technician at a veterinary clinic in Blackfoot for several years and started working at Upper Valley Veterinary Clinic in 1986. When the Idaho Board of Veterinary Medicine started the Certified Veterinary Technician program in 2000 she passed her state and national exams and became a “Certified” Veterinary Technician.

She is the head technician and also orders the  medical supplies for

the clinic.  She is over inventory control.

Diana spent many years raising, training, showing horses, and riding in competitive trail rides. She enjoyed camping and packing into the backcountry with horses.  She attended Equestrian schools in Mexico and Montana for Dressage and Jumping.  She has enjoyed extensive travel throughout the United States.

After an auto accident, she had to give up the horses and went to the dogs.  Since then she has been active in the Upper Snake River Dog Training Club and she trains and shows her dogs.  Her dogs have earned AKC titles in obedience, tracking, lure coursing, agility, and breed. She presently has two Borzois (Russian Wolfhounds), a 3 yr old named Saber and a new 6 month old pup named Duncan.

Jayna Harrop

Jayna was practically raised at Upper Valley Veterinary Clinic as she is Dr. Quirl’s daughter. She began working at the clinic off and on when in 6th grade. Jayna started out autoclaving syringes on Saturdays and then moved up to the prestigious job of cleaning and kennel duties before and after business hours. From there she went to receptionist on Saturdays and during the summer.  She then moved on to assisting the doctors with the hopes of one day becoming a veterinarian.

However, she decided motherhood was more important and settled for

going to College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, ID and becoming a certified veterinary technician.  Finally she moved back to the upper valley in 2004 and has been working at our clinic since then.

Jayna and her family own an assortment of dogs, cats and horses.

Kaylene Schultz

Kaylene was raised in St. Anthony, ID and graduated from South Fremont High School. She started working at Fremont Veterinary Clinic in St. Anthony in 1998 as a veterinary assistant and came to work for us at Upper Valley Veterinary Clinic the Fall of 2004. She started working as a part time receptionist and is now a full time veterinary assistant.

She is married and has two wonderful children. Her pets include a dog, three cats and a horse.  She enjoys the outdoors - camping, snow machining, horseback riding, and spending time with her family.

Mary Cox

Mary grew up in Southern Utah and New Mexico.  Her family moved around enough that she attended several different schools. She then moved to Idaho to attend BYU-Idaho.  She graduated with a bachelors degree in Animal Science in 2007.  She married an Idaho boy in 2009.

She did an internship with our clinic starting in January of 2006. When her internship ended, we offered her a part time job to cover for another employee who was taking maternity leave. We kept her working part time as a veterinary assistant  while she completed  her schooling and she is now working for us full time. She works mostly

as a veterinary assistant but also fills in at the reception desk.

Mary loves animals and she always has. When small she was usually found playing with wild kittens that no one else could touch.  Her pets include three cats.

She enjoys being outside and helping get all sorts of projects done. She likes to read good books and loves music.
