Neil R. Call, DVM

Dr. Call was raised in Rigby, ID on a dairy farm where he developed a love for animals.  After his older brother got accepted into veterinary school it increased his desire to pursue the same occupation.  He graduated from Washington State University in 1973 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. He spent one year practicing with his brother in Washington, but then he and his wife decided they wanted to come back to Idaho to raise their three sons.

He founded the Upper Valley Veterinary Clinic in 1976 in Rexburg, ID.  He and his wife, Julie, have truly enjoyed living in this area and raising

their family here. Dr. Call enjoys horseback riding, fishing, hunting, camping, and site seeing the beautiful country around us. He has several grandchildren who add to his enjoyment and family activities.

Working with the good people in this area and their animal friends has made his occupation satisfying.  He presently owns two horses, one mule and a few barn cats. Several years ago he enrolled in BYU-Idaho’s draft horse class and learned to harness and drive horse teams,  He now has his teamster’s card.

He is active in community service. He serves as a special director on the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce. He has been a member of the Madison Country Fairboard for 25 years and is currently serving as the chairman. He served as chairman of the Madison County Fair for six years.
